Developed in collaboration with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the ALAC robot is an efficient and intelligent solution that automates toilet bowl cleaning, completing the process in minutes and ensuring optimal hygiene. It can assist cleaning crew by maintaining the cleanliness of toilet bowls regularly, reducing the need for extensive and time-consuming cleaning routines. While the ALAC performs its cleaning routine, cleaning crew can concurrently inspect and clean other parts of the toilet, thereby increasing overall efficiency.

This collaboration combines Fonda Global’s industry knowledge within the integrated facilities management (IFM) sector, as well as the research capabilities of A*STAR’s Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) in automation technologies, engineering design and robotics applications. The ALAC looks to reduce the physical workload for cleaning crew and improve overall efficiency of toilet cleaning and maintenance, helping to move the workforce to higher value tasks and attract younger crew to join the industry.
