Strengthening Partnerships for Green and Smart City Development in Indonesia

Fonda International, represented by Chief Executive Officer Sam Chiong and Deputy Director Darren Ong, recently concluded a business visit to our strategic partner OCS Indonesia in Jakarta, deepening our commitment to cross-border collaboration in building smarter, greener cities.
During the visit, valuable insights were exchanged on how Singapore’s township innovations and integrated technologies could be adapted to support Indonesia’s evolving infrastructure priorities. Discussions also explored practical models for vocational training, smart urban planning and integrated asset management that addresses regional development needs.
Together with OCS Indonesia’s Managing Director Yohanes Jeffry Johary, Chief Operating Officer Ricardo Purba, and Chief Experience Officer Erwin Bernhard, we held in-depth dialogues with Indonesia’s National Council for Special Economic Zones (Dewan Nasional KEK). These conversations focused on how circularity, road infrastructure safety and energy efficiency can shape the next generation of SEZs.
Joined by Chief Financial Officer Pak Andi Saputra, we also participated in a collaborative session with BritCham Indonesia and Pak Hari Kusharwanto, Managing Director of Mott MacDonald Indonesia, exchanging perspectives on ESG frameworks, smart township innovation and sustainable asset management.
We sincerely thank Pak Yohanes Jeffry Johary and all our Indonesian counterparts for the warm hospitality and generous support in facilitating these meaningful discussions and look forward to building purposeful cross-border partnerships while contributing towards a more resilient and sustainable urban future for both Indonesia and Singapore.
