On 30 April 2025, we proudly celebrated Labour Day with over 200 dedicated frontline workers from our MEP business unit, recognising their hard work, resilience, and commitment over the past year.

Our Group Chief Communications Officer Sam Chiong, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all staff for their unwavering dedication. The celebration also featured insightful talks by our safety manager and officers, addressing critical topics in workplace safety, health, and environmental practices.

Reinforcing a message consistently shared during every safety timeout session, Mr Chiong reassured all employees that they have direct access to top management if their safety concerns are overlooked by supervisors. He stressed that no worker will be penalised for raising safety issues. Instead, they will be protected from any wrongful disciplinary actions.

Mr Chiong also reaffirmed our collective responsibility in creating and continuously strengthening a culture of safety within the organisation. He shared: “Embracing safety isn’t about winning awards for the company. It’s about protecting the co-worker beside you, supporting the team around you, and most importantly, ensuring you return home safely and healthily to your family and loved ones.”

As part of the celebration, Mr Chiong proudly recognised our long-serving employees – those who have been with Fonda Group for more than 5, 10, 15 and even 20 years, encouraging them to continue serving as role models and mentors for their newer colleagues.
