Fonda Featured in Senior Minister of State Speech at SIFMA FMES 2022
Fonda Global Engineering Pte Ltd is proud to have attended the International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) Singapore Chapter’s (SIFMA) inaugural Facility Management Expert Summit (FMES) 2022 held on the 1st of December this year. Founded in 1980, IFMA is the world’s largest and most widely recognised international association for facility management professionals with 24,000 members across 100 countries. As the voice of the FM industry, IFMA serves as the resource and representative for facility management.
During the FMES 2022, FM industry partners and key stakeholders gathered to discuss the latest FM issues and advancements, with Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of National Development, as the Guest of Honour.
During his speech, the Senior Minister of State commended Fonda’s quick and efficient adoption of Integrated and Aggregated Facility Management (IFM, AFM), highlighting our centralised operations hub and its advanced capabilities.
“An example of a firm that has pushed the boundaries of technology is Fonda Global Engineering, which I visited a few months ago. At its centralised operations hub, Fonda can remotely coordinate cleaning, landscaping and maintenance tasks across building portfolio using an integrated digital platform. This is what we refer to as Integrated and Aggregated FM.
For instance, Fonda’s employees on the ground are alerted to mosquito breeding and littering incidents through their smart devices, allowing them to more quickly rectify the issue. Fonda’s adoption of IFM and AFM, has resulted in manpower savings of more than 20%, and reduces the use of resources, such as electricity and water, which are significant cost items. The move towards IFM/AFM has also raised the career prospects of Fonda’s officers.”
