Roles & Responsibilities:
- Interpret applicable Legal, Singapore Standards, Code of Practice & other requirements and implement & provide directions for compliance
- Carry out WSH / ENV compliance inspections and audit
- Managed team members on to conduct routine checks on work activities
- Conduct document reviews of Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) reports
- Analyse data on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) performance, conditions, and practices
- Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) drills and the maintenance of emergency response equipment
- Evaluate impact of health hazards to employees’ safety and prioritise issues based on severity
- Identify areas for improvement in the WSHMS
- Implement Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) and Risk Management (RM) plans within scope of own work
- Review SWP/ RM compliance for all including Sub-contractor and supplier submission
- Propose corrective and preventive measures to address root cause of incident
- Review investigation findings to identify causes of incidents and accidents
- Assist Project Managers to implement and monitor environmental management systems at work site
- Assist WSH manager to ensure all safety matters are complied with statutory, contractual and management system requirements
- Implement and maintain proper procedures of Environment Management, administrative and recording system
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management
- Carry out duty as stipulate in the Workplace Safety and Health (Workplace Safety and Health Officers) Regulations
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Building & Construction, or equivalent will be preferred
- 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience in Construction
- Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) / with NEA as ECO will be more advantageous
- Possess good knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Have good communication skills, ability to work independently and also effectively work in a team to achieve safety goals
