M&E Quantity Surveyor

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Able to work on Tenders/Quotations independently, from preparation to submission
• Responsible to Advise and Resolve Requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claim with client/consultants and subcontractors
• Able to Prepare and Monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, check variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Able to Review and Advise the Project Manager on the cost impact for variation of project specification
• Able to Source and Liaise with Site Personnel, Suppliers, Sub-contractors, Consultants and/or Architects for all project-related matters
• Responsible for Progress Claims, Variation Orders, Final Accounts and Sub-contractor Progress Claims
• Able to work closely with the project team and able to Analysis, Evaluation and Negotiation of quotations, so as to ensure timely award of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Able to ensure timely finalization of main contracts and sub-contracts
• Able to Provide Support in any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned time to time

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Post-Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Have a positive working attitude, pro-active and meticulous in his/her work
• Posses strong inter-personal communication & negotiation skills; able to work as a team
• Well-versed in MS offices tools i.e. Words and Excel
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, either independently or in a team environment
