Sustainability

On 10 February 2021, the Singapore government unveiled the Singapore Green Plan 2030, a nationwide movement to advance Singapore’s national agenda on sustainable development.

The Green Plan 2030 charts concrete targets over the next 10 years, strengthening Singapore’s commitments under the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Paris Agreement, and positioning our nation to achieve  long-term net zero emissions as soon as viable.

In line with this, Fonda is committed to supporting this initiative and doing our best to contribute to our nation’s push towards a sustainable future.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGER INSTALLATION:

As per the concrete target set by the green plan, Singapore aims to make every HDB town EV-ready by 2025. This will greatly increase the number of EV chargers that will need to be installed throughout the nation (currently Singapore has approximately 2,500 EV chargers but by 2030, our government aims to deploy 60,000 EV chargers throughout Singapore)

As a contractor that manages 51% of streetlights throughout the nation and has significant expertise in HT/LT underground electrical cable laying, Fonda is exploring the option of using certain types of lampposts as EV chargers (by attaching an EV charging module) and we have partnered with several reputable entities (such as A*Star and other firms) to further develop this idea.

SOLAR AND GREEN HYDROGEN ENERGY:

Fonda also has significant experience installing and operating solar panels and we are able to offer solar energy solutions  for clients who require this type of service/s.

Green Hydrogen is also a very interesting alternative energy source and Fonda is in contact with a reputable foreign partner who may be able to provide this solution in partnership with Fonda.
